Funding Creative Commons
With the Cloudberry Project, we want to raise awareness of Creative Commons in the Nordic region. One of the ways we do this is with a Nordic CC Salon to take place in early May 2011 (more information will follow!). Another way is that we're putting three grants of €1,000 each on the table for anyone who wants to help promote Creative Commons in the Nordic countries. We're looking for short-term, high-impact ideas that can be carried out in May or June this year.
The grants can be used for any purpose that help raise awareness of Creative Commons, directly or indirectly. Want to print posters? Organise an event? Invite some artists out to dinner? Anything goes! Our only request is that you use the money for good (there's some fine print at the bottom of this page too, but nothing too important..).
You should submit your idea latest the 23rd of April 2011. We'll notify you if your proposal is selected no later than the 30th of April, and you should carry out the activity in May or June.
The fine print:
- Once your activity is completed, you should send us a short note about what you did, how it went, and so on, preferably together with pictures or videos.
- If you use the money to print something, you should send us some copies.
- You should include the text "this activity is sponsored by the Nordic Culture Point and Nordic Culture Fund as part of the Some Rights Reserved for Nordic Artists project".
- The submitted projects will be evaluated by a committee based on:
- the ability for the project to raise awareness of Creative Commons
- the innovativeness
- the feasability
Fill in the form below to submit your idea, and we'll make sure to get back to you soonest after the deadline!
